Motorcycle toll on motorways
Motorcycles pay toll in category 1, same as cars. We explain how much it costs and how to calculate it.
Which category does a motorcycle use?
In Spain, Portugal and France, two-wheeled motorcycles are category 1 (cars). They pay the lowest toll rate, identical to a car.

A Vigo–San Sebastián route (~600 km) via AP-9, A-6 and AP-8 costs about 35-40 € for a motorcycle (category 1).
Do I need a payment device?
On toll roads with booths you can pay cash or card. On free-flow segments you need a registered plate or device (badge télépéage FR, ViaVerde PT, Vía-T ES).
