Official per-segment rates

Tolls Calculator uses the official rates published by each operator: Vía-T (ES), Brisa/Ascendi (PT), Vinci/SANEF/APRR (FR). Each rate is linked to the motorway segment and vehicle category.

Route solving

When you enter origin and destination, the system calculates the optimal route (toll + distance) and breaks the journey into toll segments. Each segment is priced at its official rate.

Vehicle category

The toll depends on vehicle category (cat 1 car, cat 2 van, cat 3 2-axle truck, cat 4 3+ axle truck, cat 5 special vehicles). Getting the category right is key to accurate pricing.

Real-time response

Tolls Calculator returns the full breakdown in under 50 ms per query, including total cost, distance, per-segment cost and currency. Ideal for real-time applications and logistics platforms.

Frequently asked questions

How do you keep rates up to date?+

We download the official rate tables from each operator when published (usually semi-annually). Our API uses the latest version.

Does it include all tolls on the route?+

Yes, it includes all toll segments on the optimal route. If alternative routes have different toll costs, each variant can be queried.

Can I get the toll without distance?+

Yes. The API accepts origin and destination, or a set of coordinates. Distance is calculated automatically with the vehicle's route profile.
