Bus toll on motorways
Buses pay toll by category (cat 2-4). We explain how much it costs and how to calculate it.
Bus category
Buses are classified by height and number of axles. Most coaches (2 axles, height >3 m) fall into category 2 or 3.

A Madrid–Lisbon route (~620 km) via A-6, AP-6 and Portuguese motorways costs about 55-70 € for a 2-axle bus in category 3.
